In the end of the otherwise pretty phenomenal movie Interstellar, there is a scene where the main character falls down a weird hallway of cheap plastic.

This is supposedly representative of the "fifth dimension", but is literally like a prank or something pulled by the props department that went way too far.

Then, for no particular reason, entirely based on bizarre speculations the director hopes the viewer would patch together with rationalizations in their brain, he taps out a morse code by plucking some "time string" that is for no apparent reason connected to a book that is near a watch or some ridiculous macguffin, that represents some vague "equation for quantum gravity" that his daughter understands immediately within seconds, which makes no sense. Ignoring all of the absurdity in her immediately understanding that a watch ticking is a message from her father, let alone that the symbols for these equations cannot be readily represented by morse code anyway.

It's so stupid it insults the intelligence of the viewer and is so patronizing and dumb in a way that is more offensive than hardcore pornography.

Some people who’ve never even been to Sweden claim that this country has turned to a hellhole where you can get shot anytime and swedes are ”a minority in their own country”. In reality the vast majority of immigrants in this country are just trying to make a living and live their lives despite hardships that come with being a refugee in a foreign country. I see people saying that if Ian was a "better friend" then Bear wouldn't have victimized Nikki. That's Ridiculous, Ian is innocent of blame or of causing anything bad in the movie. That's all on Bear.

Ian hooking up with Nikki is NOT Bears business. That's between Nikki and Ian... and I guess Sarah. Ian doesn't have to disclose personal information like that just because his pathetic coworker has a weird crush on his FWB.

Also Ian WAS the most ethical billionaire for a short period of time. Ian is a man with hobbies he is passionate about. He didn't deserve to get shot in the face or scorn from fans. Bear ran into his house on some vague bullshit "make a wish that I didn't make a wish". Of course he doesn't take the wishstick seriously.

He is only guilty of sabotaging Bear 'asking out' Nikki at Trivia Night. He was obviously doing her a favor.

This game is amazing, you're the problem.

So far, my two favorite contents by Angel Studios are the Wingfeather Saga series, and the Sketch movie! But I don't understand the hate for the streaming service app.

In 2014 Scottish people were told by the no campaigners, that voting yes to independence would jeopardise their position in the European Union and they would have to join as a new entrant.
However, two years later Brexit happened, despite a majority of Scottish voters voting to remain in the European Union.

Since then I have heard people say that 2014 was a once in a lifetime referendum.
But could the referendums in 2014 & 2016 and the campaigns behind them not suggest that the will of the Scottish people wasn’t accounted for?
And would it be undemocratic of Westminster to reject any motion of another Scottish Independence Referendum?

Forgive me if I’ve worded this in a slightly loaded way. I’m genuinely curious to hear what the Scottish people think, and I’m asking in good faith.

Yes I’ve posted this similar take a few years ago on a different sub, I stand by my decision since it’s the only one NO one has ever agreed with me on.

TLDR: If I were offered to try a human steak, IF IT WAS SOURCED ETHICALLY,I would try it.

This is a hypothetical, I’m obviously not seeking it out, I’m just genuinely surprised that NO one has ever said yes to this question. How is literally NO ONE curious about it? For example: say I get a breast reduction and there’s excess healthy tissue, or I need a mastectomy or something but I have both boobs removed to keep it even, something like that. If it’s sourced ethically, with consent, why is it so weird to cook it and eat it if we do the same with animals?

Anyways, I just thought of this because I reread Tender Is The Flesh, and just saying that’s the exact opposite of what I’m talking about because it’s not ethical or consensual (much like our current treatment of farm animals and how we get our food today).
