He's the best actor of the three, got the best suit, the best web-swings, the best romance (arguable) and just... that. They gave him two, at least, weird scripts with poor creative decisions. So much wasted potential. Now Tom Holland finally got a great movie to call his, I feel bad for Andrew. My man had to carry two movies basically by himself, he deserved so much more. 💔

I was just thinking about Phase 4 and remembered how much everyone trashed Eternals when it dropped. I watched it years ago and actually liked it.

Sure, it was a bit long, but the characters and world-building were cool.

Now that the hype and drama have died down, why do you think people turned on it so hard? Was it just bad timing, or do you think the criticisms actually hold up?

503 million views for Avengers: Doomsday sounds massive... until you realize Spider-Man Brand New Day crushed it with 718 million.

Think about that, Marvel brought back the Russos and RDJ as Doctor Doom, and a solo Spider-Man movie STILL wiped the floor with them.

It proves Spider-Man was always bigger than the entire Avengers brand. But here's the real question Should Disney finally buy Spidey back from Sony, or is this rivalry actually good for the MCU? What are your thoughts??

This show was extremely well done (That ending was a bit too cinematic though), and left on a HUGE cliffhanger. Oscar Isaac nailed the whole thing. It was received extremely well. How the hell did we not get even a confirmation for a future project until now, let alone an actual new season.

Disney really fumbled with this one.

Honestly, this just sucks overall. Charlize Theron was giving a promising role through Marvel and Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness with her character Clea, who is the wife of Doctor Strange and granddaughter of the villainous Dormammu in the comics.

We only had a five minute post scene with her where she comes out the Dark Dimension just to get Doctor Strange help for an unknown mission.

Many people believed that this post credit scene would lead to a Doctor Strange sequel, but nothing came out of it.

Sadly, there has been many post credit scenes throughout the Multiverse Saga that never been followed though because they introduced so many new characters and storylines for phase 4-6.

I’ve read people saying the Home trilogy wasn’t that great and Watts wasn’t a good director now that BND is out. While I did enjoy BND more because it was a more mature Peter and used less CGI, it seems revisionist history to say the Home trilogy wasn’t good

Things like the Vulture reveal, Mysterio illusion sequence, and Peter 2 and 3 interactions are up there with a lot of top MCU moments. What are your thoughts?

Like how do we feel about this? His performance in Iron Heart was good, but whether or not he is a good person is kinda not in an ideal place. He has allegations against him, and is extremely pro Israel. I love the idea of a Ghost Rider movie, but I know that they probably plan on him being front and center.

I am shocked to know they didn't even break even at the box office. It had everything; the drama, action and a perfect amount of comedy. Best part, a super villian who is actually non-nerfed. Would love to see more of bob for sure both as the Sentry and the Void - especially Void.

9/10 for me.

Spider-Man is my favorite Superhero, but I have admittedly been disappointed with many comic runs and game stories. However, each movie and actor I love for one reason or another.

While there are films I don't come back to as often, I really believe none of the Spider-Man films are bad.

I’m really struggling to see how this is going to work. I’m aware he will probably be displayed as slightly younger, but RDJ felt like an old man the last time we saw him as Tony Stark, and that was 7 years ago.

Maybe I’m not well-versed enough in the lore, but it just feels off. And aside from Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce, doesn’t this make him, like, the 2nd oldest character to be introduced? (Maybe I’m forgetting a some others, but I’m guessing no more than top 10 oldest) The biggest issue is that he’s not even a side character, he’s likely a main character.

Do you think Doom will be a one-and-done? Maybe a variant? Or are we just going to have an Old Man Doom arc?

Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok is honestly one of my favorite MCU films. It took Thor in a whole different direction from his previous MCU appearances and raised the stakes for many Thor characters, including the Warriors Three. It also created new lore through Hela and so much more. Despite people's criticisms of its director, I enjoyed it.

However, I do have one major criticism of this film and it’s the way the movie handled the Warriors Three.

The Warriors Three were created to be guardians of Asgard and the best friends of Thor.

Thor (2011) understood their roles and treated them three, including Lady Sif, who is a big love interest for Thor within the comics, with respect.

However, Thor: Ragnarok did them wrong and killed them off like they were nothing. I don’t get why.

I understand in a way that the movie wanted to raise some stakes and create some tension through Hela and it worked in some capacity. But their deaths weren’t needed.

Odin's death was good enough and was very memorable. We saw him through the first three Thor films and we understood his connection with Thor and Loki.

The Warriors Three barely got explored and it sucked. They all deserved better.

Hopefully,r they all come back after Avengers: Secret Wars.

Like his age is like 15/16 right? And joining a fight to save the world from apocalypse. No wonder in Far From home. He wants to have a proper normal vacation. But it didnt go well.

I kid you not I saw the comment section of a video about this scene and people were calling it weird, they took it unironically. DUDES, that was the whole point, like did y’all not hear She Hulk complain about how weird this was and broke the fourth wall to fix it? This is a problem consisting of media illiteracy and misogyny. Like they made it so simple in this scene yet somehow y’all missed it, either because you people were hate watching it with your illiteracy, or looking at your phones while watching the episode.

UPDATE: Some of the comments really are proving my point. If y’all don’t wanna accept the meaning of this scene and whine about it, then dont partake in media discussion like this again!

I find it really funny how people say this yet the MCU is still the top movie franchise. They act like all MCU movies pre-endgame were masterpieces when that isn’t the case. Both Thor 1 and 2 released with mixed reviews with the second one being widely considered as one of the worst MCU movies, Ant-Man and The Wasp also got mixed reviews upon release, Iron Man 3 is widely disliked for the twist of “The Mandarin” and Aldrich Killian. Captain America: The First Avenger is considered boring by a wide margin of people, and even Age of Ultron released upon mixed reviews and still gets debated about to this day.

I’m just saying, it’s very interesting how before Endgame Superhero movies (MCU in particular) could be average or simply something fun, and be praised and have think pieces written about how great they are while fans remember very specific moments of those movies for good reference. Yet now it seems like if a movie doesn’t have the absolute perfect story and flawless CGI, it’s written off or called trash. I definitely think the MCU took a dip after Endgame but I still recognize that amazing projects like Thunderbolts*, Loki, GOTG Vol 3, etc…All released during the multiverse saga and are great. Just like how mediocre/bad projects like Thor 2, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 3, etc….All released during the “peak” of the MCU and aren’t so great.

THIS POST CONTAINS NO SPOILERS: I just watched Brand New Day, and was left wondering how Peter can afford anything? All his expenses, flowers and tech included, maybe rent? How can he afford any of it when the film doesn't show him as having a job (other than dedicating all his time into saving New York?

I keep seeing the take that Thanos in Endgame was reduced from a complex character doing what he thinks is right to a generic villain who wants to destroy everything. I disagree.

I thing Endgame Thanos is the real Thanos and that was the inevitable conclusion of his character.

In Infinity War, he explains his motives to Doctor Strange saying that Titan was destroyed because people didn't listen to him so he sets out to collect the Infinity Stones to be able to fix the problem on a universal scale. The thing is this led to a lot of questions such as "Why didn't he double the ressources?", "Wouldn't he also destroy the food supply?", Won't the problems occur again in a few years anyway once they repopulate?". I think the answer to those questions is simple: because these weren't possibilities when planning the original genocide on Titan.

The truth is Thanos never wanted to save the universe. He just wanted to prove to himself he was right.

In Endgame, past Thanos discovers that the Avengers are trying to undo his work. Thanos realises that his plan was flawed because of the universe being "ungrateful" that after everything they still can't accept he was right. So he decides that the only solution is to create a grateful universe, essentially taking away the universe's free will in order to ensure his success remains permanent without actually changing the initial plan. This is because he thinks the universe is flawed rather than his plan.

Because let’s not forget Thanos is the Mad Titan not the Sane Titan. MCU Thanos is just obsessed with his plan instead of Lady Death.

If you’ve been around here or anywhere where you can talk Spider-Man, you’ve probably heard plenty of complaints of this version of the character. “Not enough stakes”, “not struggling enough”, “too much Ironman”. You name it, fans have probably complained about it. And to a degree I agree with some of them but I never found this version or his movies to be outrageously bad like some people would make it out to be, and I certainly don’t appreciate the level of toxicity it brought to the fandom (looking at you, Spider-Man Twitter). All that to say, the MCU has decided to push this Spider-Man into a new direction, and it seems they’re listening to the critiques as far as we can tell. The thing I really appreciate is that they’re not going so hard in a new direction that they’re completely undoing everything that they’ve spent the last 10 years (damn) building up with this character, but instead they’re using it to build upon what they’ve already established, and I truly think that was for the best. Tom’s Peter was never bad to me, but there always was something that felt like was missing from him, and from what I can tell this movie is filling that hole that makes this Spider-Man truly feel complete and like the Spider-Man I know and love, and I couldn’t be more excited

Nova, Shang-Chi 2, Fantastic Four 2, Spider-Man 5, Dr. Strange 3, Midnight Suns and potentially Thor 5 will have to wait for 2029/2030 it seems.
